Overview

Qath-meyî Bî was founded durring the late 11th century, by Kos Tsèdo. The establishment of Qath-meyî Bî was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Kos Tsèdo struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Qath-meyî Bî as a prison colony.

Qath-meyî Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Qath-meyî Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Qath-meyî Bî is buildings are speckled and packed arround premissive cobblestone streets with seemingly no patern to them. It appears as if the town's residents simply built streets as they pleased and squeazed buildings in wherever and howeave rpossible, creating an organic, frustrating to navigate, maze of a town. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks, spikes, and fences to provide some protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. Unfortuantly, these minimaly adiquite are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Qath-meyî Bî is not quite well. Something happened here, perhapse recently, perhapse long ago. Whatever it was, it settled into the very soul of the town like a festering wound. The people go about their day well enough, but there’s a tention in the air you can cut with a knife.

Cultural Notes

While Qath-meyî Bî has a public leader, the real authority is hidden from outsiders. This ruler may draw their authority from rationales unacceptable to outsiders, they may have cowed the public authority into obedience, or they may have a mutually beneficial private arrangement with the official ruler.

Qath-meyî Bî's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is famous for its stately symmetry, classical elements, and grand appearance. Columns and pillars, such as Corinthian columns, are often seen supporting open structures or porticos. Symmetry is an important feature of this style, with each half of a building mirroring the other. Domed ceilings and windows grace these buildings, with everything placed in a mathematical arrangement.

In Qath-meyî Bî it is impossible to directly or indirectly lie.

The Blackwisp Egret near Qath-meyî Bî are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Qath-meyî Bî's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves gestures to channel Summoning energies of tier 1 via moments of science.
